aims to significantly advance research in the field of circular economy compared to the current state of the art by introducing several dimensions of originality and novelty. CircularMat proposes the establishment of the first Center of Excellence on Circular Economy in Romania, original by functioning as a living lab and by integrating interdisciplinary elements of research, innovation, education, and knowledge transfer. The project brings together experts from various fields such as chemistry, physics, material engineering, IT, and economics. This multidisciplinary collaboration enables a holistic understanding of CE challenges and fosters innovative solutions that integrate technical, economic, and social perspectives. Living Lab concept creates a dynamic environment for experimentation, testing, and real-world application of CE principles, accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy. The first Laboratory for Testing, Standardization and Certification of Waste and Recycled Materials in Romania will be established within the center.
