Is ambitiously aiming to establish the first Interdisciplinary Center of Excellence on Circular Economy in Romania, built on the principles of a living lab and meant to accelerate, up to 2030, the transition of the predominantly linear national economy to a sustainable circular economy and its integration into the competitive European/global landscape.
The project also seeks to consolidate an interdisciplinary critical mass of human resources and research infrastructure able to foster cross-sectorial partnerships among research organizations and universities operating in areas of demonstrated scientific excellence, by using a systemic bottom-up approach based on strong interaction with national/international stakeholders that will change both consumer behavior (demand change) and supply chains (services, manufacturing technologies, products…).
